Shalom parents,

We have come to the end of our Religious school year in our new normal. As much as we have missed seeing all our student’s smiling faces during this whole coronavirus pandemic, I believe we made it work... together! We could not have gotten through this new normal without your help and cooperation. We appreciate YOU, the     parents!

I hope I left you with lessons that our children, our future, will take with them to learn, practice and continue to use into their adults lives, that they will continue teaching their families the Jewish traditions and values that we have all grown up with and embrace so very much. I pray, look forward to and anticipate that next Religious school year we will be able to be ALL joined back together face to face!!

I pray that each of you and your loved ones continue to stay safe and healthy! Baruch HaShem!

L’ shalom,

Odelia Rios

CBI RS Lead Teacher

Dear all,

Thank you to all who participated in our most recent Zoom meeting.  The meeting was highly productive, so I have quite a bit to share with all.

Our next Zoom Sisterhood meeting will be June 17th at 6pm.

First, it was determined that there will indeed be a Food Fest 2020!  Food Fest planning team include Chris Adler, Phyllis Roseman, Rikki Schmitchel, Sue   Williams and David Jacobs.  A drive-thru concept along with the logistics to make this happen successfully, is being explored.  The Silent Auction and our raffle will take place electronically as in the past, however no physical items will be  displayed.

Additional fundraising ideas were offered including: a Freezer Sale in April possibly with a Vintage Shop sale, and a Brown Bag Deli pick up on its own day.

The finance/budget committee submitted their first budget draft, pending the decision of the Food Fest and will revise the plan accordingly.  Thank you to Sue Williams, Jacki Abels and Debbie Bustillo for all your hard work in putting this together!

Thank you to Sue Williams who led the effort to update our bylaws that were voted in unanimously.

Norma Levens is chairing the Sisterhood nominating committee for next year’s offices and committee leaders.  If you are interested in serving on the nominating committee, please reach out to Norma.  Also, if you are interested in a board or committee position, please also reach out to Norma!

I thank all the active members of Sisterhood for their amazing service, dedication, and your friendships.  If you are not an active Sisterhood member, I invite you to join us and become engaged in one of the many activities and committees.  It is inspiring to be a part of the heart of the congregation with so many wonderful women.  I encourage you to become engaged!

I wish you a healthy and joyful time with family this coming month.

Yours in Sisterhood,

Carol Rehtmeyer
