Sunday, May 20th
9:00 am:  Shavuot Service including Yizkor
10am-12pm:  Shavuot Study on Judaism and the World to Come

There are many questions for which we may never know the answer.  One of the most significant is what happens after we die. Is there a world to come?  What does it look like?  Who gets to go there? Is there a heaven and a hell?

But while we may never know the answer Judaism has no shortage of thought and answers about this most significant of questions.  Join us on the morning of Shavuot for a Shavuot service followed by a study session on Judaism and the World to Come.

11 AM - 12:30PM
at Congregation Beth Israel

As they left Egypt the Israelites set out on a journey to the Land of Israel and to becoming better people both morally and spiritually.  As they journeyed they learned and grew as people and so we engage in learning during the omer (the period between Passover and Shavuot) to do the same.

Join us as we engage in the traditional study of the Pirkei Avot a rabbinic guide to spiritual and moral self-improvement that has inspired Jews since the time of the ancient Rabbis.

Congregational Annual Meeting
Thursday, June 28th at 6:00 pm

We are still working on new dates for the upcoming Rummage Sale!  It was postponed because we are still continuing to collect many more items needed.  So please “rummage” through your homes and businesses and drop off your donated items at Congregation Beth Israel whenever you like.  Just make sure Debbie is at CBI to direct you where to put your items.  Donation receipts for tax purposes will be available on the front table, so help yourself to one!

If you have any questions, please contact:

Leslie Green at 804-334-5662  or Randi Emanuel 361-446-3117

Thank you so much for your donation!!
