President's Message - November 2009 Print
Dear Members of CBI,

Thanksgiving is upon us, and again this year, we will be celebrating with the Good Shepherd Episcopal Church. This tradition began seventy-five years ago.  There has been a change in scheduling.  We will convene at 7:30 pm on November 25th. We hope that this change will enable more congregants to attend.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank those who contributed to our very successful High Holiday appeal. The number of members donating, and the grand total exceeded our expectations.

The early Shabbat services preceding our monthly family dinners have been well attended.  I hope you will join us in the future. You will be rewarded with prayer, good food, fun and fellowship.  We are very appreciative of Meredith Ryan's efforts in organizing and delivering these monthly meals.

The future of our congregation appears very bright at this time. With the addition of sixteen new family members, we are expanding our numbers. I hope that you will warmly welcome these new families

Let us all thank who are working feverishly preparing for Food Fest, November 14th & 15th. Their effort is a monumental task, and I know all involved feel their work is a labor of love.

Congregation Beth Israel has many exciting events planned for the near future. I urge everyone to become involved and participate.

As your president, I hope you will feel free to approach me when you have questions. I would also be open to suggestions that might make our congregation even more efficient and effective.

May you and your family have a wonderful Thanksgiving.

             Shalom,
